With the USMNT back at home after being bounced out of the World Cup by Ghana, there’s been a ton of players running around the country doing press. Landon Donovan, the poster boy of US soccer, hit New York this week, and did the talk show circuit. It’s been interesting listening to talk show hosts like Letterman and Regis ask ridiculous questions about something they know nothing about. My favorite is when Regis asks Donovan if he had ever played for another country before playing with the US.
I guess any press is good press, and US soccer is finally getting a tiny bit of coverage.
